Therapeutic Style: My therapeutic approach combines person-centered care, trauma-informed practices, and a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and psychodynamic therapy. I also incorporate transpersonal hypnotherapy when appropriate and desired by the student. I strive to foster a supportive, empathetic and collaborative environment where students can explore their unique challenges, connect with their inner strengths and work toward lasting growth and healing.

As someone passionate about empowering individuals and building resilience, I focus on helping students gain clarity around their emotions, thoughts and behaviors while navigating the biological, psychological and social factors that influence their experiences. I partner with students to reframe limiting beliefs, strengthen their sense of self and build or enhance their tools to handle life’s challenges effectively. My practice emphasizes a mind-body-spirit-belonging lens of therapeutic exploration, assisting students in cultivating a holistic sense of well-being by using the Wellness Wheel as a guide.

Professional Interests: My experience includes working with children, teens and adults across various settings, including residential treatment, outpatient and school-based mental health care, integrated health care and college campuses. My professional interests include trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges and the impact of adverse childhood experiences. I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals on a journey of identity development, personal growth, empowerment and resilience-building. I am also passionate about fostering care environments where all individuals feel heard, valued and empowered to pursue their full potential.

Educational Background: I hold both an undergraduate and master of social work degree from Syracuse University. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with the “Psychotherapy R Privilege” in New York State. I have received intensive training in the treatment of sexual and interpersonal violence/trauma, crisis intervention and postvention, dialectical behavior therapy, the Zero Suicide treatment model and the Risking Connection treatment model. I hold certifications in clinical hypnotherapy and master hypnotherapy from the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapy (NATH). Additionally, I am a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD) through the American Board of Clinical Social Work.
