Alexandria Snow portraitTitle: Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)

Therapeutic Style: I am passionate about student-centric care. I am excited to support students by working with them to develop the tools needed to further their academic and personal success. One of my primary goals as a provider is to normalize discussions around mental health and help students acquire the language needed to have conversations surrounding it. My clinical approach is geared toward empowering students, allowing each individual to feel more in control of their mental and physical health and wellness.

Professional Interests: My areas of interest include adult and adolescent psychiatry, as well as children and adolescents, especially those who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism. I also enjoy supporting students with anxiety and mood-related disorders.

Educational Background: I began my education in New York State, graduating first with a bachelor of science in psychology from St. John Fisher College, and then with a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Rochester. Immediately following graduation, I worked as a Registered Nurse in Washington, D.C. and across northern Virginia caring for inpatient psychiatric patients. I completed my education at Drexel University, obtaining a master of science in nursing with specialized study in mental health along with a post-graduate certificate in caring for those with autism across the lifespan.
