This group is for students who are currently practicing abstinence from at least one problematic substance (alcohol or other drugs) and would like support managing the unique stressors of living a sober lifestyle on a college campus.

This group is designed for students who would like to develop new or strengthen existing skills to cope with anxiety, stress, chronic worry, fear, panic and related symptoms that may interfere with academic and interpersonal functioning. Students who participate in this group should be prepared to practice skills each week during and outside of group sessions.

This group is designed for students who find themselves feeling stuck in unpleasant emotions that impact their work and/or relationships, or for students who struggle with intense, overwhelming emotions. It can also be helpful for students interested in learning more about mindfulness and how to practice it. This five-week workshop will teach practical skills for coping with everything from minor daily setbacks to major life crises. Based on the DBT framework developed by psychologist Marsha Linehan, this group will give students the tools they need to build a sense of peace and decrease suffering in their lives.

This group provides a supportive space for students to talk about substance use and what they want out of their lives. Whether students are using substances, wanting to make changes or working on quitting, this is a group to help students find their own path forward.

Together We Thrive engages students in discussions, reflections and activities that promote individual and community well-being. Gain skills that will not only be beneficial during the transition to college life, but also serve as lifelong skills that can grow over time.
The program uses the Be REAL model, consisting of six 90-minute virtual weekly small-group meetings led by a trained facilitator. Highlights include but are not limited to the following.

Participants will be entered into a drawing for prizes such as power packs, hammocks, outdoor blankets and more.
The Clothesline Project is a visual display of T-shirts that are decorated with empowering messages and statistics by persons impacted by interpersonal violence. The purpose is to break the silence on dating and domestic violence to raise awareness and create a cultural change.
This exhibition is displayed in honor of Dating and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which is observed in October. The Clothesline Project will be on display in the Schine Student Center Panasci Lounge throughout the week of Oct. 2-6.
Please note, the display is powerful and some material shared on the shirts may be difficult to read. There will be resources outside the display for those that want more support.
