Evan Nolan portraitTitle: Personal Training Coordinator

How I Support Student Health and Wellness: I strive to provide personal training programs and services to the campus community that aim to instill self-love and acceptance of one’s body, promote comfort and confidence in fitness spaces, and empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives while achieving their fitness and recreation goals. For our student personal trainers, I strive to create a progressive work environment that recognizes and values each individual. This includes providing ample opportunities for learning and personal growth, as well as fostering the development of transferable skills that will endure well beyond their time in the program.

Professional Interests: I am professionally interested in resistance training, corrective exercise, mobility/stretching work and the history, philosophy and theory of fitness and recreation.

Educational Background: I hold a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology (fitness development) and a master’s degree in recreation management (management of leisure services), both from State University of New York (SUNY) Cortland. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a certified American Red Cross First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) instructor and provider.
