Taylor Tilison

Taylor Tilison portraitTitle: Fitness Coordinator

How I Support Student Health and Wellness: My mission is to use my position as fitness coordinator to encourage students to become the best version of themselves, both physically and mentally. The benefits of exercise stretch far beyond appearance, and I aim to help students understand that. I strive to create an empowering environment for students, as well as student workers, and show them that there is not a right or wrong way to exercise. It is all about finding the right form of movement that you enjoy. At the end of the day, exercise should be enjoyable, and I aim to create fun, new opportunities for students to partake in.

Professional Interests: My professional experience lies in personal training, specifically strength and conditioning. Professionally, I am always looking to learn and improve in all areas of fitness, whether that be strength training or finding new ways to make fitness fun such as biking, walking, yoga, Pilates and more!

Educational Background: I graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in health and exercise science in 2023. During my time at Syracuse, I gained valuable experience and knowledge while working in strength and conditioning, athletic training and physical therapy. Following graduation, I became certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Certified Personal Trainer. I am also certified in cardiovascular and pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED).
