Therapeutic Style: I approach students with compassion and curiosity while working to help them feel seen, heard, understood and better resourced. I believe that each person is their own best expert, and I prioritize learning how their intersecting identities and environmental and cultural forces impact their experience. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental and caring space in which a student feels safe to express their concerns and explore solutions and support together.
Professional Interests: My areas of professional interest include executive function challenges, family systems, relationship issues, maternal-child health, parenting, anxiety, trauma, intersectionality, substance and alcohol use, homelessness and LGBTQIA+ identity issues.
Group and Liaison Roles: I co-facilitate the Anxiety Skills Group, a skills-building workshop designed to help students better understand, manage and cope with anxiety and stress.
Educational Background: I am a graduate student in the School of Social Work at Syracuse University with an expected graduation date of May 2025. I earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. I recently completed a year-long graduate internship at the Syracuse-Area Salvation Army Women’s Shelter. I also am previously certified as a birth doula and childbirth educator, and have worked as a substitute teacher in the greater-Syracuse area schools.
