Therapeutic Style: I hope to create a welcoming and supportive environment for my students, as well as create a collaborative relationship where I can do my best to meet them where they’re at. Ultimately, my goal is to empower and work alongside them as they strive to become the best versions of themselves in and outside of the counseling room.

Professional Interests: I am interested in learning about different theoretical approaches that are effective for diverse populations, such as BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals. I also want to learn about narrative and bibliotherapy and find ways to incorporate them into my sessions as fits. Lastly, I hope to put a lot of effort into getting comfortable and learning more about risk assessment and trauma.

Educational Background: I earned a bachelor’s in English and am currently getting a master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I don’t have any counseling background but have spent much time working with diverse populations in various leadership roles in undergrad. This included creating a BIPOC men’s group focused on mental health and community, as well as being a staff assistant for Intercultural Affairs.
