Therapeutic Style: I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a diverse range of therapeutic training and a commitment to fostering a supportive and empowering therapeutic environment. I utilize evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Interpersonal Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and more to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs.
At the heart of my approach is a student-centered perspective, where I value ongoing feedback and collaboration to ensure that therapy is effective and that the therapeutic relationship is a good fit for my students. I believe in a warm, nonjudgmental space that allows students to feel heard, respected and empowered in their journey toward growth and healing.
I am passionate about helping individuals understand their mental health and develop the skills needed to lead a more fulfilling, balanced life.
Professional Interests: My clinical interests include working with individuals experiencing insomnia and parasomnia disorders, generalized anxiety, challenges with obsessions-compulsions and other anxiety-related challenges. While these are my areas of focus, I have received comprehensive training as a generalist, enabling me to manage a broad range of psychological concerns across the lifespan.
Educational Background: I received a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, physiology and behavior from UC Davis. I received a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Pacific University and finished my formal postdoctoral fellowship at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
