Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
How I Support Student Health and Wellness: I assist with procedures such as intrauterine device (IUD)/ Nexplanon placement, suture placement, healthy and sick visits. I provide support with rooming students and getting vitals and testing. I am one of “Your Moms Away from Home.”
Professional Interests: I have an interest in contraception care and education for students. I am also involved in supporting Hendricks Chapel’s food pantry right here on campus.
Educational Background: I graduated from SUNY Brockport with a B.S. in therapeutic recreation. I completed my LPN program at Onondaga-Cortland-Madison Board of Cooperative Educational Services (OCM BOCES). I have worked at Crouse Hospital on a medical/surgical floor and in multiple private practices (family medicine, Ear, Nose and Throat [ENT], and obstetrics and gynecology [OB/GYN]).
Hobbies and Interests Outside of Work: When I am not working, I like to watch movies (rom-coms!), dance to hip-hop, and attend shows at the Landmark Theatre and Syracuse Stage with my husband and two children.
