Title: Registered Nurse
How I Support Student Health and Wellness: Together with the medical provider, I see patients in the clinic for well and sick visits. I also work as a triage nurse, where I answer questions, provide health care advice and schedule appointments over the phone. Additionally, I work in the sexually transmitted infection (STI) clinic and provide confidential testing and education.
Professional Interests: I am interested in promoting healthy behaviors in our students. I enjoy learning about each student’s cultural history and background.
Educational Background: I graduated with a bachelor of science degree in nursing from St. John Fisher University and was a medical surgical nurse at a local hospital for the first 15 years of my nursing career.
Hobbies and Interests Outside of Work: I am a taxi driver to my four children, who are very involved in dance and various sports. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and our dog, Toby.
