To the Syracuse University Community,
At the Barnes Center at The Arch, we recognize the impact racism and anti-Black violence have on public health and individual wellness. We acknowledge the pain, anger and frustration is profound, especially for our Black students who are deeply impacted as a result of the violence committed against George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Ahmaud Arbery and many other Black lives. We want students to know we are here to support you. Beyond our goal of providing inclusive, integrated care, as health and wellness professionals, we remain committed to supporting the holistic well-being of our community and social justice. We all must do our part to create a more equitable community. We stand in solidarity with all those working to make our world more just and to end anti-Black violence.
