Barnes Center at The Arch Wellness Wheel
As the core of the Barnes Center at The Arch Wellness Wheel, our approach intersects with all eight Dimensions of Wellness and the work of the health and wellness team. We acknowledge that we cannot look at holistic well-being without recognizing the health inequities that exist and interact with each Dimension of Wellness.
Belonging Statement
To integrate our values into all aspects of health and wellness. Every Syracuse University community member should feel welcomed and valued within the Barnes Center. Our goal is to create a culture of belonging for all by keeping our core values at the center of all that we do. We believe that individuals thrive in spaces that are affirming. To achieve optimum health and wellness, our services, policies, practices, and the we way we treat others must include these values.
Commitment to Students
The Barnes Center is committed to delivering quality and equitable health and wellness services. We strive to create a welcoming environment for all students regardless of race, language spoken, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, religion, and socioeconomic status. We acknowledge students arriving here may have been part of unequitable health care systems. We strive to integrate our core values into all health and wellness services. We do this by assessing our services and students’ experiences with our services. We use a data-driven approach to provide best practices and services to the students and Syracuse University community.
