The Greek Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements, leadership and impact of our fraternity and sorority community. Each year, chapters, members and advisors are recognized for their commitment to scholarship, service, philanthropy, leadership development and community engagement. These awards highlight the meaningful contributions Greek organizations make to campus life and the values they uphold within their councils and beyond.
2026 Greek Awards
The 2026 Greek Awards will be held Wednesday, April 15, from 7-9 p.m. in Goldstein Auditorium. Award nominations are due Wednesday, March 18. Please see below for award descriptions and nomination form links.
The Chapter of the Year Award recognizes outstanding chapters that demonstrate excellence across the core areas of fraternity and sorority life: academics, accountability, member development, ritual and values, and service and philanthropy. Chapters are evaluated based on their achievements, growth and measurable outcomes within each of these categories. Based on the outcomes of each category, one chapter per council will be recognized for outstanding achievement.
The Outstanding Fraternity/Sorority Leader Award recognizes an exceptional individual who has demonstrated exemplary leadership within their chapter/council and the broader fraternity and sorority community. This award honors a member who leads with integrity, inspires others through action and consistently upholds the values of their organization.
This may be any individual who has held an officer position within their chapter or served on their council’s executive board. This can be anyone who has held an officer position within their chapter or on their council’s executive board.
The Fraternity Member of the Year Award recognizes a graduating senior fraternity member who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to their chapter, their governing council and the broader fraternity and sorority community. This award honors an individual whose leadership, service and dedication have made a lasting impact throughout their collegiate experience.
The Sorority Member of the Year award recognizes a graduating senior sorority member who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to her chapter, her governing council and the broader fraternity and sorority community. This award honors a woman whose leadership, service and sustained involvement have made a meaningful and lasting impact throughout her collegiate experience.
The New Member of the Year Award recognizes a member who joined in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025 and has already demonstrated exceptional commitment to their organization, governing council and the broader fraternity and sorority community. This award honors a new member who has shown strong initiative and dedication to their chapter.
The Program of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding program (excluding philanthropy/service initiatives) hosted by a single chapter that significantly promoted community engagement and enhanced the student and fraternal experience through innovative planning and implementation. While the program must be led by one primary chapter, nominations may include collaborative efforts conducted in partnership with other organizations or councils. This award honors initiatives that demonstrate creativity, intentionality and measurable impact within the chapter and the broader campus community. Programs considered for this award should reflect strong alignment with fraternal values, foster meaningful connections and contribute positively to the overall Greek experience.
The Philanthropy/Community Service of the Year Award recognizes a specific philanthropy or community service event hosted by a chapter that made a significant impact on the community/charitable organization. It honors organizations that go above and beyond in supporting charitable causes, engaging members in hands-on service and/or fostering a lasting culture of giving and social responsibility. Programs considered for this award should demonstrate intentional planning, creativity and meaningful engagement, while reflecting the chapter’s commitment to service, fraternal values and positive community impact. Strong initiatives show measurable outcomes, such as participation, funds raised or improvements to the local community, and inspire others to engage in philanthropy and service.
The Advisor of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding chapter or graduate advisor who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, mentorship and service to their fraternity or sorority. This award honors an individual who goes above and beyond in supporting their chapter’s growth, development and success. Eligible advisors exemplify commitment to fostering a positive chapter culture, guiding members through leadership and personal development, and providing consistent support during both challenges and achievements. Strong nominees have a measurable impact on their chapter’s operations, member engagement and overall success, while serving as a trusted mentor, role model and advocate for fraternal values within the campus community.
The Council Member of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding fraternity or sorority member who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to both their chapter and their respective governing council. This award honors individuals who actively advance the mission, values and unity of their council through leadership, service, collaboration and consistent engagement.
