Dr. Lombard joined Syracuse University as the senior director of Student Engagement in September 2023, and provides oversight to the professional team that manages Schine and Goldstein Student Centers, campus programming and engagement, event and technical services, leadership development, operations and recognized student organizations. Her more than three decades of higher education experience have focused on student learning, engagement and success at several other institutions including, most recently, at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) in Syracuse, where she served as Dean of Students and retired after more than 12 years of service.

A Michigan native, she holds degrees from Ohio University (Ph.D., Higher Education), Michigan State University (M.A., Student Affairs Administration), and Western Michigan University (B.S., Public History and Anthropology). She enjoys living in the University neighborhood, baking, and reading, and is an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She is also the proud mom of a Syracuse Orange (Class of ’28).

Carrie serves as the Director of Student Involvement and Leadership Development. In this role, Carrie oversees recognized student organizations, leadership development, student events and activities and Greek life. Carrie has worked at Syracuse University for over 20 years in various roles across the Student Experience Division, including Student Activities, Greek Life, Student Center Operations and New Student Programs as well as Syracuse Abroad. Originally from Bedford, NH, Carrie holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Ithaca College, a master’s degree in higher education administration from Syracuse University and a certificate in change management from Cornell University.

Scott is responsible for the oversight of Event and Technical Services and the Student Box Office. He supervises the Assistant Director, the Facilities and Technical Supervisors and the ETS student staff. He works with outside vendors and artists to produce events and programs in support of student organizations and the Student Experience Division. Additionally, Scott handles all of the invoicing and payments for use of the student centers.

Jen Bideaux (she/they)

Jen serves as the Assistant Director of Event and Technical Services. In her role, she manages the day-to-day operations of ETS including supervising the student employment program and the Technical Coordinators and working with student and academic organizations to make their events come to life. She holds a BS from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications in Television, Radio, and Film ’18. Prior to joining Syracuse as full-time staff, she worked in various theaters throughout the Hudson Valley, including the Center for Performing Arts in Rhinebeck. Outside of work, you can find her working on her photography, puzzling, and crocheting!

June serves as an Event & Technical Coordinator, helping to ensure that events run smoothly from start to finish. Having graduated from the Goldring program at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 2023, they still spend time freelancing and working as a volunteer with ImageOut in Rochester. Prior to receiving their M.A. at Newhouse, they completed both a B.A. and a B.S. at Utica University in 2019.

Sophia recently graduated from Syracuse University with a dual major in Communications & Rhetorical Studies and English & Textual Studies. As an Orange alum, Sophia is very familiar with campus life and is thrilled to contribute to the events that make SU such a fun, fantastic community to be a part of! Outside of work, Sophia enjoys writing short stories, skiing, and spending time with friends. She's looking forward to giving back to the school and the people that shaped her.

Ralph works with the Event and Technical Services student staff in support of events. He assists with oversight of both the technical and venue staff. In addition, he advises and coordinates event services including the design and implementation of technical support.

Kelly Mullin

Kelly Mullin is the Associate Director of Leadership in the Student Engagement Office. In this role, Kelly directs leadership and support services for the University’s 250+ Recognized Student Organizations. Bringing over 20 years’ experience in nonprofit management, Kelly has held senior leadership positions in local organizations including the YMCA of CNY and the Kelberman Center. Her career has focused on team and organizational development to meet existing community needs. Originally from Rome, New York, Kelly is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public administration from Syracuse University and holds a bachelor’s degree in business, management and leadership from SUNY Empire State University.

Emily serves as the Assistant Director of Leadership and Organizations. In her role, Emily advises RSOs and works to update policies and procedures that impact student organizations at Syracuse. Her favorite part of her job is working with students and empowering them to create change within their organizations, strengthen their leadership skills, and embrace the Syracuse community. When she's not in the office, you can find Emily reading mystery novels, teaching dance at a local studio, or listening to Taylor Swift on repeat. Emily holds a BA in Linguistics from SUNY Oswego and an MA in Student Affairs Administration from Appalachian State University - Roll 'Neers!

Rachel serves as the Leadership Coordinator in the Student Engagement office and primarily focuses on leadership development for our student organization leaders and our New Student Organizations (NSOs). She was born and raised here in Syracuse. She obtained her master's degree in higher education from Syracuse University's School of Education. She is also a graduate of SUNY Oswego's bachelor's degree programs in political science and global and international studies, as well as a minor in Spanish language. When she's not in the office, you'll find her walking at Onondaga Lake Parkway, working on a puzzle at her kitchen table, or enjoying all the good food around Syracuse!

Karrie joined the division in January 2023 as a RSO Coordinator of student engagement, Consulting and advising RSOs on campus. Karrie is originally from Saint Louis, Missouri and has worked in the Syracuse Community for over 10 years. Karrie like to focus on collaborating and advising service-based organizations. Her favorite part of working on campus is engaging with the students and guiding them in navigating through policies and procedures. In her spare time, Karrie likes to spend him with her husband and three kids along with teaching kids how to swim. Karrie is an avid Saint Louis Cardinals fan.

Mackenzie is a recent graduate of Nazareth University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Leader and a Bachelors of Science in Dance Studies. She was the president of an on campus organization, Nazareth Dance Organization, and represented the college at multiple American College Dance Association conferences. Currently, Mackenzie is a member of the Garth Fagan Aspiring Dancers Troupe based in Rochester, NY and the National Honor Society of Dance Arts. On her free time Mackenzie likes to work on her dance interests through teaching and choreographing, as well as spending time with her friends and family. She is very excited to join the team and to make the college experience memorable to students!

Becki is a 1997 alumna of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication with a degree in Public Relations. She has been working for Syracuse University since 2005, joining the Student Engagement team in 2016. Becki oversees the day-to-day operations of the Schine Student Center, Goldstein Student Center, and Skybarn; including facility management, reservations and events, student employment and policy/procedure development. As a former student employee, Becki strives to create opportunities for student employees to grow and learn outside of the classroom and develop skills to assist them in any career.

Sam attended Alfred State College where she earned her Bachelors in Human Services Management and went on to work in Residence Life, Student Activities, and New Student Orientation before transitioning to Syracuse. She has a passion for education and development. She is now helping to oversee the daily operations of the Student Centers and the reservations of spaces for events and meetings across campus.

Shannon has been a part of the operations team since May 2022. As the facilities coordinator at the Schine Student Center, she oversees daily operations of the building and the events that take place in it. She also oversees the hiring process of student employees and their work schedules. Shannon was born and raised in Syracuse, New York and received her Bachelors in Nutrition and Health Science from LaSalle University.

John has been a part of the operations team since June 2024. As a facilities coordinator at the Schine Student Center, he oversees the daily operations of the building and works with student employees and student engagement staff to bring excellence to the events and student programming at Schine. John has worked previously in higher education in facilities and maintenance roles after graduating from his alma mater EBI&C. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and piano, and loves making memories with his wife and kids while going for hikes, camping, having family Bible studies, and volunteering at their church.

Peter joined the operations team in May 2022 as the Coordinator of the Goldstein Student Center. In this role, he oversees the daily operations of the building and works with campus partners and student engagement staff to bring events and student programming to Goldstein to enhance the student experience. Prior to joining Syracuse University, Peter held leadership roles at Bishop Ludden High School in Syracuse and the Northwest Family YMCA. He holds a masters degree in Education from East Carolina University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Syracuse University.

Billie earned a bachelor of science in pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston and completed a one-year postgraduate practice residency in Burlington, Vermont. After a career as a pharmacist, she transitioned to higher education at Syracuse University in 2015. Since that time, she has worked as an office coordinator for the English department, an academic coordinator for the biology department, and a lab administrator for the Hehnly Lab. Billie joined the Student Engagement team in a support role in September 2024 and recently has taken on the position of operations support specialist, assisting in project management and execution along with administrative tasks. For fun, Billie enjoys gardening, hiking, cross-country skiing, listening to Motown music, watching "Seinfeld" and attending Syracuse University basketball games.

Debbie McKie has been with Syracuse University for 35 years, during which she has built strong, lasting relationships with students across campus. Known for her dedication, approachable nature, and deep understanding of student needs, Debbie plays a vital role in supporting student success and fostering inclusive community engagement. Throughout her tenure, Debbie has been instrumental in mentoring countless students, helping them navigate their personal and leadership journeys. She is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and works tirelessly to ensure that the voices and experiences of multicultural and historically underrepresented student communities are amplified and celebrated. Debbie serves as the primary council advisor for both the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), guiding these organizations in their growth and development within the university’s vibrant Greek life. In addition to her advising responsibilities, Debbie is known for her collaborative spirit and ability to build bridges across diverse student groups, university departments, and external partners, fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose throughout the Syracuse community.

MaryJo grew up in Newburgh, New York, a suburb north of New York City. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Labor Relations and Human Resource Management from Le Moyne College. As an undergraduate, MaryJo was actively involved in fraternity and sorority life, serving as the social chairman and community service coordinator for Pi Nu Epsilon Sorority at Alfred State College. Before joining Syracuse University as an Assistant Director, MaryJo worked in the Labor and Employment Law department at Hancock Estabrook LLP, where she gained valuable experience in labor and employment law, supporting clients on a wide range of workplace and human resources matters. MaryJo is especially passionate about supporting student growth through leadership development and meaningful engagement opportunities across all aspects of fraternity and sorority life at Syracuse University. She serves as the primary council advisor for the Panhellenic Council (PHC) and Greek Council (GC). Additionally, MaryJo is an instructor for First Year Seminar (FYS), where she helps new students acclimate to campus and build a strong sense of belonging. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, lake living and boating on Oneida Lake, traveling, interior design, and cheering on Syracuse University’s men’s and women’s lacrosse teams.

Marissa Madonna grew up in Liverpool, NY. She graduated from Syracuse University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Forensic Science. While at Syracuse, she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and served as the VP of Philanthropy. She was also a member of the Mandarins acapella group. She worked as a student front desk assistant for both the Fraternity and Sorority Affairs Office and the Student Activities Office. Before joining the Greek Life team, Marissa worked as a crime scene investigator with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. In her current role, Marissa manages front desk operations, develops communications and marketing materials to support programming efforts, manages community grade reporting to monitor and enhance student engagement and success, and advises student groups to promote leadership development and meaningful involvement.

Erin is a graduate of West Virginia University where she earned a B.S. in Biochemistry and a B.MDS in Women’s and Gender Studies, Psychology, and Medical Humanities and Health Sciences. During her time at WVU she was a member of the West Virginia Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity, serving as the Vice President Inclusion and Vice President Operations, and was the Chapter President of the Theta Omicron Chapter of Order of Omega. She is entering her first year as a master’s student in the Higher Education program at the School of Education at Syracuse University. She is very excited to continue to grow in her love for Greek Life at Syracuse University.
