Greek Life 101: Beyond the Letters is designed to provide students with an overview of fraternity and sorority life at Syracuse University. Attendance at Greek Life 101 is required for any student who wishes to be considered for membership in a fraternity or sorority.
To further support students in finding the council that best aligns with their interests and values, we also offer council-specific Greek Life 101 and additional information sessions; see dates and times listed below. (Please note: Attendance at information sessions does not fulfill the Greek Life 101 requirement.)
By the end of each workshop, you will have:
- Gained an understanding of the differences and unique attributes of all seven governing councils.
- Learned about the history of fraternity and sorority life at Syracuse University.
- Received current information on upcoming events hosted by Greek Life and the councils.
- Learned the eligibility requirements for joining the fraternity and sorority community.
