The Student Government Association (SGA) at Syracuse University sponsors bus transportation during Thanksgiving Break to support undergraduate students. Please review the information below.

Please note that SGA will not offer round-trip Spring Break bus service in 2027.

Syracuse University also offers limited shuttle service from campus to Syracuse Hancock International Airport and the Regional Transportation Center (RTC).

SGA Thanksgiving Break 2026 Bus Transportation

Departure Information

  • Departure Date and Time: Friday, Nov. 20, 5 p.m.
  • Pick-Up Location: College Place
  • Check-In: Begins one hour prior to departure. All students must be checked in at least 20 minutes before departure to avoid losing their seat.

  • White Plains, New York (Bloomingdale’s parking lot, 175 Bloomingdale Road)
  • Boston, Massachusetts (South Station Bus Terminal, 700 Atlantic Ave.)
  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch St., between N. 12th and N. 13th St.)
  • Washington, D.C. (Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 700 block L St., NW bus stand area)
  • Rockaway, New Jersey (Rockaway Townsquare Mall, 301 Mt. Hope Ave., far side of Macy’s/Raymour & Flanigan parking lot)

    Return Information

    • Return Date and Time: Sunday, Nov. 29, 1 p.m.
    • Return buses will depart from the same location where students were dropped off.
    • Return time is different than departure time.
    • All students must be checked in at least 20 minutes before departure to avoid losing their seat.
    • All buses will drop students off at College Place.

    Ticketing and Pricing

    Tickets will go on sale Aug. 24, 2026, via the Student Box Office. Create an account using the My Tickets Portal. If you are having trouble, email boxoffice@syr.edu.

    Round-Trip Prices: $100 for all destinations.

    Important Ticketing Policies

    • Students must return on the same bus as their departure.
    • There are no one-way tickets.
    • No refunds will be issued after purchase—please finalize your plans beforehand.
    • Tickets are non-transferable. A photo I.D. is required to board.
    • Available only to Syracuse University and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) students. Undergraduate students have priority. Tickets for graduate students may become available closer to the departure date.
    • A valid cell phone number is required at time of purchase for emergency or logistical updates.

    Sold Out Buses: If a bus is sold out, email boxoffice@syr.edu to be added to the waitlist. If a seat becomes available, you will be contacted by phone.

    Trip Details and Requirements

    • All buses have onboard restrooms.
    • No additional buses or destinations will be added.
    • Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from drop-off points.
    • Allowed luggage: one suitcase (stored under the bus) and one carry-on. No large furnishings or boxes permitted.
    • All students must adhere to Syracuse University’s policies during the trip.
    • The Student Government Association reserves the right to cancel any bus that does not meet minimum capacity.

    Bus Ambassador Program

    Each bus will have one student Bus Ambassador responsible for boarding students, conducting headcounts, communicating with the bus driver and other students on your bus when necessary, and reporting emergencies to Student Engagement.

    Syracuse Hancock International Airport and Regional Transportation Center Shuttle Service

    Limited shuttle service from campus to Syracuse Hancock International Airport and the Regional Transportation Center (RTC) will be available during some break periods. There is no cost for the shuttle transportation.

    Departure Information

    • On designated travel days before academic breaks, shuttles will run in a continuous loop from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Shuttles will pick up students at the following locations each hour:
      • Goldstein Student Center: On the hour.
      • College Place: 10 minutes past the hour.
      • Dineen Hall, behind the College of Law: 15 minutes past the hour.
    • Shuttles will stop first at the RTC, then continue to Syracuse Hancock International Airport, Terminal B.
    • The final shuttle will depart from Goldstein Student Center at 6 p.m.

    • Drivers will drop students off at Goldstein Student Center, Dineen Hall and College Place based on the needs of student riders. Drop-off locations may be flexible.
    • The final airport pickup will be at 9 p.m.
