Every two years, the University launches the Orange Survey to gather feedback from undergraduates about their student experience. This survey is an important tool to learn more about experiences across academic, social, financial and co-curricular aspects of student life.

All undergraduate students enrolled in the Fall 2023 semester who are at least 18 years old are eligible.

On Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, students will receive their own unique link to the survey in their Syracuse University email (@syr.edu).  The subject of this email is "Invitation to Complete the Orange Survey." The last day to complete the survey will be Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023.

The survey will take most students about 10 minutes to complete.

This survey is an important tool to learn more about experiences across academic, social, financial and co-curricular aspects of student life. Responses are kept confidential and will be used to help guide programs, services and resources available to students.

Participation in the survey is voluntary. This means students can choose whether to participate and that they may withdraw from the survey at any time without penalty.

Students who complete the survey will be entered into random drawings for a number of different prizes including the following. 

  • $75 Gift Cards: Amazon, Target, Etsy
  • Early Fall 2024 Course Registration
  • Barnes Center at The Arch Personal Training Sessions

This survey is an important tool to learn more about undergraduate student experiences across the following aspects of student life.

Reponses are valuable as they capture student voices and feedback, which in turn provides essential information to inform and guide the development of student-focused programs, services and resources.

Responses are kept confidential and will be used to help guide programs, services and resources available to students. All information reported from the survey will be done in aggregate and will not include any individually identifying information or individual responses.

This survey is being administered by the Syracuse University Office of Institutional Research on behalf of the Student Experience Division and the Office of Academic Affairs.
