This funding award program is designed to assist full-time undergraduate students at Syracuse University who are participating in external internship opportunities during the summer term. Syracuse University established this award in order to cover the cost of credit for students when required by a company and/or to provide support for living expenses associated with summer internships.
Applying
Students are invited to apply for the 2022 Internship Funding Awards on Handshake. If this is your first time using Handshake, please visit the Career Services website for additional information and instructions.
Completed applications including on Handshake and through the Qualtrics Survey, will be reviewed as they are submitted. Feedback on status can vary between 14-21 business days from submission.
This is the deadline for a Recognized Student Organization (RSO) to register four or more members for at least one move-in shift, qualifying the RSO to be featured on the back of the 2022 Goon Squad t-shirt.
The Goon Squad is one of Syracuse University’s oldest traditions dating back to 1944. Upper-division students are trained to welcome new students and their families at their residence halls. Working closely with Orientation Leaders and staff, Goon Squad members provide mentorship to new students through wayfinding, move-in support, sharing resources and more.

fullCIRCLE is a multilayered program designed to assist participants in effectively adjusting to the different challenges of college life, including those that are academic, social, professional and personal in nature, with the goal of retention. The program serves first-year and upper-class students with an emphasis in Black/African American, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latinx American and Indigenous/Native American students. fullCIRCLE promotes academic success, identity development, community leadership and social responsibility.
