Winter Welcome is Syracuse University’s required orientation program for students new to campus in the spring semester. This includes transfer, first-year and Discovery students new to campus in spring 2024. For questions or to request accommodations, please contact the New Student Programs team.

Discovery Students
Students returning to campus after spending the fall semester abroad as part of the Discovery program are required to attend Winter Welcome. Discovery students will attend most sessions with the rest of the new students, but will have some Discovery-specific events to support their unique transition to campus.
