Spring New Student Orientation
Jumpstart your Becoming Orange journey with Spring New Student Orientation, a required program for incoming first-year and transfer students. Spring New Student Orientation is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 9-Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026. This orientation program provides a valuable opportunity to familiarize yourself with campus, connect with peers and staff, and gain insights into college life, ensuring a successful start.
Spring NSO Schedule Highlights
New international undergraduate students will move-in on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026. They will proceed straight to their residence hall and will receive their Syracuse University ID Card when they move in. Friday, Jan. 9, 2026
- 9:30 a.m.: Welcome at the Center for International Services (required).
- 10:30 a.m.: Immigration Essentials (required).
- 11:30 a.m.: Campus Safety for new international students (required).
- Noon: Lunch in the Center for International Services.
- 1 p.m.: Campus Tour at Schine Student Center (optional).
- 2 p.m.: Check in for Spring New Student Orientation (required).
- 2:30 p.m.: Resource Fair (required).
- 3:30 p.m.: Attend Spring New Student Orientation, see below (required).
Please note that new international students will join all other new students starting with check-in, which will be available from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in Schine Student Center. Spring New Student Orientation will officially begin at 3:45 p.m. and the day one schedule will end at 8 p.m.

Travel and Parking
Parking is available on campus for free. New students, families and supporters attending Spring New Student Orientation should park in the University Avenue Garage (1101 East Adams Street, Syracuse, NY 13210).
Families and Supporter Orientation
Families and supporters attending Spring New Student Orientation will check into the program with their student.
