Looking to meet new people who share your interests or come from your part of the country? Wondering how to meet other transfer students, commuter students and first-year students ? Join our Welcome Week Leaders for an informal Community Meet Up!
These come-and-go sessions are the perfect opportunity to build community and make connections outside of your classes and residence hall. With three different sessions offered throughout Welcome Week, you can attend the meet ups that interest you without missing any required meetings.
What to Expect at a Meet Up
- When: Each session runs for two hours.
- How it Works: Our Welcome Week Leaders will be there to help you break the ice and get conversations started.
- Stay for a bit or stay for the whole time! You can drop in for a few minutes or stay for the entire session—it’s up to you. You’re welcome to attend as many Meet Ups as you’d like.
Who Can Attend?
While our Meet Ups are organized around specific interests and regions, everyone is welcome! Feel free to attend any Meet Up that sounds interesting, regardless of your field of study, race, national origin, ethnicity, hometown or other characteristics. These events are about celebrating what makes us unique and learning from one another.
