How to Use the Schedule Links

To build your own unique Welcome Week schedule, you are encouraged to do the following.

  • Set Up Your Calendar: Ensure your SU Mail calendar (@syr.edu) or Google Calendar (whichever you prefer) is set up on your mobile device. We recommend getting comfortable with your SU Mail calendar as this is what faculty, advisors and staff will use to connect and schedule meetings with you.
  • Access School/College Schedules: Navigate to the “Welcome Week | School and College Schedules” section and select your specific school or college.
  • Add Required Events: Add all “Required Events” to your preferred calendar. To determine if an event is required or optional, open each event within the Events Calendar (after selecting your school/college). The event description will specify its requirement status.
  • Explore Additional Events: After adding your school and college events, scroll to the “Welcome Week Schedule” link. This comprehensive schedule includes every event from International Orientation through the first week of classes. While some events may already be on your calendar, we encourage you to explore other campus activities and add any that interest you.
  • Questions? If you have any questions, please email welcome@syr.edu. Our staff will be happy to assist you in navigating the schedule.
