Vision and Mission

Vision

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Resource Center strives to build a socially conscious community that is inclusive of and accessible to students with marginalized genders and sexualities and the complex intersections of race, class, disability and underrepresented identities that impact their success at Syracuse University.

Mission

  1. Support LGBTQ+ and questioning students explore the complexity of their identities and connect them with existing campus resources.
  2. Collaborate with University partners to advise on campus climate issues, policies, practices, and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
  3. Provide the campus community with educational opportunities and outreach on current LGBTQ+ issues that affect the student experience.
  4. Integrate LGBTQ+ representation across University programming initiatives.
