The Intercultural Collective is collaborating across campus to hold monthly spaces for first-generation college students of all identities through our new initiative, First-Generation Mixed Tapes: A Space to Celebrate Intersectionality. These spaces are designed to engage in intentional conversations about the different realities of being a first-generation student by using music as a common language.
We will be hosting events on the fourth Tuesday of every month, along with heritage month programming, with the goal of fostering conversations on our intersectional realities and the impact on our lived experiences, all while co-developing a soundtrack that represents our daily lives, culminating in a curated listening party! All students are welcome to participate in these events as we continue to support and strengthen our intersectional community.
