Pre-Arrival Virtual Orientation

Congratulations and welcome to the Orange community! From traveling to campus, arrival and settling in for the academic year, the Syracuse University Center for International Services is here to support you every step of the way.

Required Pre-Arrival Virtual Orientation: Go2Orientation

Supporting your smooth transition, this required virtual Orientation gives you early access to important resources, answers to common questions, and helpful tools to support your transition and success as a new international student. Required Pre-Arrival Virtual Orientation

Instructions

  1. Log into the required Pre-Arrival Virtual Orientation (Go2Orientation) portal with your Syracuse University email (@syr.edu) and password.
  2. From the portal homepage, under “Welcome Students!” select “International Orientation (Required).”
  3. Under the “Syracuse University International Orientation” and “Lessons” headers, complete each of the required sections by the deadline.
  4. When all requirements are complete, students will receive a portal confirmation in addition to a Certificate of Completion.

 All incoming new and transfer full-time undergraduate international students are required to complete the Pre-Arrival Virtual Orientation (Go2Orientation) by the deadline. Students within traditionally part-time and online degree programs are not required to complete this training.

The Required Pre-Arrival Virtual Orientation (Go2Orientation) is due Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.

Failure to complete the required Pre-Arrival Virtual Orientation (Go2Orientation) by the deadline may result in a Registration Hold, losing the ability to complete class registration until the training is complete.

  • Internet access and a strong Internet connection, in addition to audio capabilities are required to complete the training.
  • It is recommended to complete the virtual Orientation using a computer. The training may also be accessed using a mobile device.
