Arrival and Check-In

The Center for International Services looks forward to welcoming you on campus! Please complete the International Student Check-In Process by following the instructions below. If you have any questions, please email the Center for International Services  or call 315.443.2457.

1. Check in After Arriving in the U.S.

You will need to upload electronic copies of your immigration documents when completing your international student check-in request (step 3).

  1. Save electronic copies of the following.
    • Passport biodata page.
    • Most recent U.S. visa. (Citizens of Canada and Bermuda should upload a copy of the most recent U.S. entry stamp in your passport if you do not have a U.S. visa.)
    • DS-2019, if not issued by Syracuse University.
    • F-2 or J-2 dependents’ passports and visas (if any).
  2. Retrieve your I-94 Arrival Record (not Travel History) and save an electronic copy. If no I-94 Arrival Record is found, save an electronic copy of the “No record found for traveler” search result.
  3. Return to this page and complete the remaining steps.

  • Add emergency contacts in your home country and in the U.S., if any.
