Helena has been working in U.S. higher education since 2018 and currently serves as an international student advisor at the Center for International Services. Her experience includes recruitment and outreach, building partnerships and supporting programs, such as orientation and student engagement, that help people from different backgrounds connect and feel welcome. She enjoys cross-cultural communication and is especially passionate about helping students from around the world adjust to new environments. Her background includes multilingual communication and working with diverse international communities.
Outside of work, Helena enjoys staying in, reading, watching movies and trying good food. She also likes DIY projects like building kits and painting—creative hobbies that are relaxing, fun and sometimes a little messier than planned!
