Samantha “Sam” Somma is an International Student and Scholar Advisor in the Center for International Services. Sam has worked in the field of international education since 2011 and has had the pleasure to support international students and visiting scholars from around the globe to ensure immigration compliance, assist with cultural adjustment and aid in professional growth. Sam has a background in student advising, recruitment, exchange programs, and global collaboration. Sam is a graduate of the NAFSA Academy Class 13 (2016) and have served as a Region X Coach for NAFSA Academy Class 19.
Sam is originally from Long Island and is an alumnus of the Long Island Business Institute, SUNY Empire State College, and Hofstra University. In her free time, Sam enjoys walking, stand-up paddle boarding, and making people laugh.
