Attending the 2023 New York State Fair

Students are encouraged to enjoy the final days of summer and explore all the Great New York State Fair has to offer. Highlights of the 375-acre fairgrounds include delicious food, excitement of the midway and much more!

Admission Tickets

Tickets must be purchased in advance at etix.com. Admission into the fair is $6 per person.

Hosted by New Student Programs, Hale Transportation shuttles to and from the New York State Fair are free for students with a valid Syracuse University or State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) identification card. Shuttles will travel a continuous loop between College Place and the New York State Fair Pink Lot during the following dates and times.  Accessible transportation is available.

The shuttle will also serve as transportation for the Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater Noah Kahan concert. Explore instructions for shuttle service below.

During scheduled times, the Syracuse University shuttle goes from the College Place bus stop to the Pink Lot at the New York State Fairgrounds.

Transportation is provided by Hale Transportation. Look for white coach buses labeled Hale Transportation in red lettering.

During the scheduled times, the shuttle runs in a continuous loop from Campus Place to the New York State Fair Pink Lot, approximately every 30 minutes depending on traffic.

Staff from Hale Transportation will be available at both the College Place and New York State Fair Pink Lot shuttle stops to assist students with details on the next shuttle and more.

  • Arriving: Once you arrive to the New York State Fair Pink Lot, follow signs to the main gate and then board a bus for the New York State Fair Orange Lot.
  • Returning: From the Orange Lot board a bus back to the Pink Lot. From the Pink Lot board a Syracuse University shuttle (Hale Transportation) back to campus.
