Moving In

Students living on campus and are new to campus will move in based on the following schedule.

  • New International Students: Jan. 9-10, 2025, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • New Domestic Students: Jan. 10, 2025, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

North Campus Residence Halls

Students may proceed straight to their residence hall to move in. Vehicles may unload in front of the residence hall but should not remain there. Vehicles may move to designated parking spaces as determined by residence hall staff. Once students have moved in, proceed to Schine Student Center and follow the Spring New Student Orientation schedule. Printed orientation schedules will be available at the Check-In and Resource Fair.

South Campus Apartments and Skyhalls

Students may proceed to Goldstein Student Center to begin the move-in process. Once students receive their key, they may proceed to their apartment or Skyhall building. Once students have moved in, proceed to Schine Student Center and follow the Spring New Student Orientation schedule. Printed orientation schedules will be available at the Check-In and Resource Fair.

New students that are living at home and will be commuting to campus may park in the parking lots or garages below.

Once arrived on campus, proceed to 111 Waverly Avenue, Suite 111 (Housing, Meal Plan, and I.D. Card Services) to pick up your Syracuse University ID Card.

Between 2-4 p.m., attend the Spring New Student Orientation Check-In and Resource Fair.

Parking

Parking is free for students and guests during Spring New Student Orientation. No parking passes or permits are needed during Orientation. Use the parking guides below for your convenience.

  • Friday, January 10, 2025: Parking is available at the University Avenue Garage or the Waverly Garage (next to Orange Hall across Waverly Avenue from Schine Student Center). Garages will close at 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, January 11, 2025: Parking is available at the University Avenue Garage or the Waverly Garage (next to Orange Hall across Waverly Avenue from Schine Student Center). Garages will close at 9 p.m.
  • Sunday, January 12, 2025: Parking is available at the Quad Lot.
