In addition to the University’s requirements for membership, each council may have its own requirements that affect associated chapters. Some Greek organizations have their own chapter-specific requirements as well.

Interfraternity Council (IFC)
IFC Fraternities are governed by the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC).

Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)
National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO)
NALFO is an umbrella coalition consisting of 17 fraternities and sororities, 6 of which have chapters at Syracuse University.
National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)
The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is composed of 9 fraternities and sororities, 7 of which have chapters at Syracuse University.
Panhellenic Council (PHC)
PHC Sororities are governed by the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).
SPRING 2025 Formal Recruitment Dates: January 23, 2025 – February 2, 2025.
Registration period: Monday, November 18, 2024 at 5:00 PM – Friday January 10, 2025 at 5:00 PM.

- The cost to register for Panhellenic Recruitment is $65.00. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid online at the time of registration.
- Registration fees offset the logistical costs of recruitment planning, supplies and support services for participants.
- All Registrants and participants are required to read and abide by the Potential New Member (PNM) Code of Ethics and Agreement of Mutual Respect.
- Transfer students and undergraduates of all classifications are eligible to register.
