As a special academic ceremony, New Student Convocation marks the opening of the University and the beginning of new students’ careers at Syracuse University.
Spring New Student Convocation
This event is required for all new students. Families and supporters are encouraged to attend in-person or virtually. Additional programming is available for families and supporters until 12:30 p.m., at which time they are encouraged to leave campus.
- Date: Saturday, January 11, 2025
- Time: Doors open at 9 a.m. with the ceremony starting at 10 a.m.
- Location: K.G. Tan Auditorium, National Veterans Resource Center
Please note that no food or drink is allowed in the auditorium for the ceremony. Brunch will be served in Goldstein Auditorium, Schine Student Center from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. following Convocation.
Parking is available for all students, families and supporters in the Waverly Avenue Garage (next to Orange Hall) or University Avenue Garage.
