Each year the Native Student Program hosts the Nya weñha Skä:noñh Welcome Luncheon in celebration of the incoming class of Indigenous students. Hosted by the Native Student Program, Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) Student Success and the Syracuse University Native Community, the luncheon takes place prior to the start of classes each fall.

While this event is specially designed for students identifying as Indigenous, the Welcome Luncheon is open to to all eligible students without regard to race, gender, national origin or other characteristics.
