We are pleased to offer you a part-time student employment position within the <Department> beginning in the <semester><year>. In this position, you will be compensated on an hourly basis. Please consult with your supervisor on your exact pay rate, start date, work schedule, as well as other details of your position.
Your position has been deemed non-exempt according to the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act. As a non-exempt employee, you will be eligible for overtime pay. As a part-time student employee, you are an employee at-will, meaning you have the right to end your employment at any time for any reason, and the University may do the same. Your employment is also specifically conditioned on your being and remaining a student in good standing, satisfactory performance of work, availability of work, and legal eligibility to work in the United States. Work may become unavailable due to health or safety concerns, or a change in instructional format.
As to legal eligibility, you must satisfy the requirements for employment under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (Form I-9). Please refer to the attached list of acceptable documents to prove eligibility (https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/acceptable-documents). Prior to your first day of work, you will receive an email from LawLogix with a unique link to your I-9 Form, which can be completed remotely.
