Residential Staff Team Overview
Within each of our main/north campus residence halls, we have staff and student leaders to support our operations, programmatic initiatives, and community development. Our residential team members include:
- Residence Directors (RDs) – oversee all programming and community development in the residential areas. RDs serve a team leaders for our Resident Advisors.
- Residence Hall Operations Coordinator (RHOCs) – oversee our main desk operations which include mail and package services as well as spare key management. The RHOCs also and supervise the Main Desk Assistants who work the desks.
- Residence Advisors (RAs) – strive to build connections among residents, provide programs, and facilitate the development of floor and hall community.
- Main Desk Assistants (MDAs) – student employees who work our main main desks providing customer service and manage the day-to-day mail and package distribution.
Residential Neighborhoods
Our residence halls and apartments and clustered into geographically named teams:
- East Neighborhood: Day; Flint; Shaw; and, Lyons Halls.
- North Neighborhood: Booth; DellPlain; Ernie Davis; Haven; Milton; Orange; Walnut; Washington Arms; and, Watson Halls.
- West Neighborhood: Boland; Brewster; Brockway; Lawrinson; and Sadler Halls.
Neighborhood Staff

Adrianna Smith
Adrianna Smith is the Residence Director at Day Hall, she is originally from Milan, TN. Adrianna is an alum of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) and graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work. Before working at Syracuse Adrianna worked at UTK as a Hall Director for first year, upperclassmen, and non-traditional students. Adrianna likes to spend her free time reading a good book in a local coffee shop.

Brenden Navarro
Brenden Navarro has been with Residential Living at Syracuse University since 2024, where he serves as a Residence Director. He earned his Master of Science in Management from Keuka College in 2023 and his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from SUNY Geneseo in 2020. Brenden’s favorite part of his role is mentoring student leaders and supporting residents through moments of challenge and transition. He is passionate about fostering environments where students can thrive both personally and academically. Before joining Syracuse, Brenden held roles in residential education and inclusion at Alfred University and Keuka College. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, lifting weights, and exploring new foods.

Clarise Shelby-Coleman
Clarise Shelby Coleman has been with RL for 3 years. Clarise is a Residence Hall Operations Coordinator at Day Hall, originally from the Bronx, NY. Clarise’s favorite part of her job is interactions with Main Desk Assistants & residents. Clarise is passionate about Autism Advocacy and Inclusion. Clarise likes to spend her free time with family, friends, & church members. When Clarise isn’t working she can be found watching sports or cooking shows

Emery Lockwood
Emery has been with Residential Living since August of 2023. She came to Syracuse from Colorado after completing her Master’s in Political Science at Colorado State University. At Syracuse, Emery enjoys getting to know students, getting students acclimated to life at the University, and developing her RA Team. In addition to her work as a Residence Director, Emery is working towards her Master’s in Cultural Foundations of Education. Outside of work, Emery loves spending time with her husband and three cats as well as playing games.

Pearl Stoner
Pearl is a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area. After graduating, she spent many years in the private sector before transitioning her work to the online customer service industry. Some of her most notable work in these fields includes roles at companies such as MONY, Computer Task Group, VIP Desk, and the Rhode Island Dept of Health. When she is not broadening her vast knowledge on a variety of professional fields, Pearl enjoys spending time at her home with her dog and her son, who as of recently has become a music teacher. Pearl looks forward to being a resource for the Office of Residential Living, and the entire Syracuse University community, Go Orange!!!

Rebecca Cruz Zibit
Rebecca Cruz Zibit is one of the two Residence Directors for Shaw and Lyons Hall, entering her third full year as a Director of the complex. She has experience running multiple of the Living Learning Communities within the complex, including the Exercise Science LLC, Health Studies LLC, Psych in Action LLC, and Engineering and Computer Science LLC. She has extensive experience in residence life previous years as well, formerly serving as the Assistant Dean of Students for the School of the New York Times. She is currently studying at Syracuse University College of Law to earn her Juris Doctor, aspiring to work in Higher Education Law in the future.

Stuart Fiacco
The Resident Hall Operations Coordinator (RHOC) of both Shaw and Watson Hall, Stuart has been with Residential Living for the past two years. Born and raised in Syracuse New York, Stu previously worked as the Front Desk supervisor for the Sheraton Hotel (Now Orange Hall) and transitioned into the University landscape as the Hotel did. Graduating from Lemoyne College with a degree in Business Management and Leadership, he is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Whitman School of Management. Leading two teams of Main Desk Assistants, student experience is at the forefront of both his role as a coordinator as well as a Graduate Student, offering tutelage to both the student employees working under him, as well as the residents in his halls. Lover of all things Ancient Roman, whether it is reading, listening, or experiencing, when his attention isn’t focused on Syracuse University, it’s allocated to Rome.

Alecia Zema
Alecia is a Residence Hall Operations Coordinator at Dellplain and Booth Halls. She was born and raised in Central New York, though she ventured out to college in both the Rochester and Albany areas before finding her way back home. She has supported Syracuse University for over two decades in an administrative capacity and is absolutely delighted to use her administrative superpowers at Residential Living! When she’s not working, you can usually spot her outside the office at events in The Dome, on a quest for the perfect pack of strawberries at Wegmans, at the latest Marvel movie, or strolling for fun and fresh finds at the Ithaca Farmers Market. She’s a proud mother of three amazing kids and has three dogs to keep her household interesting whenever the kids are out. Alecia’s an avid baker. During her downtime, she enjoys curling up with a good book, getting lost in the latest K-drama on Netflix or unwinding with a classic old movie.

Deborah Adeyemi
Deborah Adeyemi has been working at Syracuse University for 2 years. Deborah is the current Residence Director for Dellplain Hall and is originally from Queens, NY. She graduated from Binghamton University with her B.S. in Accounting and is currently obtaining her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Syracuse University part-time. Deborah is passionate about mental health and connecting her academic interests with her work here at RL.

Kimmie Barr
Kimmie Barr is the Resident Hall Operations Coordinator at Sky Halls, Orange Hall, and Milton Hall and she is originally from Syracuse. Kimmie Barr has been with Residential Living for 2 years now. Before working at Syracuse, she worked at The Sheraton Hotel. Kimmie is passionate about her family. When she isn’t at work she likes to take weekend trips with her kids.

Marlowe Rehac
Marlowe Rehac is the Residence Director at Ernie Davis & Booth Hall. They have been with Residential Living for 2 years and change. Originally from the Buffalo area, Marlowe comes to Syracuse by way of Rochester, where they ran an independent bookstore in a small town called Clifton Springs. When not working, Marlowe spends the bulk of their time cooking and thinking about game design.

Patrick Kelly
Patrick is the Residence Hall Operations Coordinator for Haven, Washington Arms, and Ernie Davis. He also works in Campus Safety at Onondaga Community College. Patrick’s favorite part of working at Syracuse is making connections and learning new things. He hopes to make a positive impact on the community through his work every day

Greyson Bartholomew
Greyson Bartholomew began working with Residential Living in 2024. Greyson graduated with their M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University in 2021. Their favorite parts of their job are developing student leaders and giving students the tools to build meaningful connections with their peers. Outside of work, Greyson enjoys supporting their local library, starting a new craft, and walking their cat.

Hannah Zimmer
Hannah Zimmer serves as the Residence Director of Lawrinson Hall, where she has supported students and helped build community for the past three and a half years. A lifelong Syracuse native, Hannah is proud to continue her journey at Syracuse University, where she also earned her master’s degree in Higher Education from the School of Education. She enjoys getting to know students, helping them feel at home on campus, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome and supported.

Jolisa Widmer
Jolisa D. Widmer serves as the Residence Director of Sadler Hall. Originally from Albany, NY, Jolisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Linguistics from New York University (NYU) and holds her Master’s in Anthropology and Education from Columbia University. Jolisa is passionate about helping students develop key life skills for human flourishing through education beyond the classroom. In her down time, she enjoys reading articles and watching movies with loved ones.

Jonah Carey
Jonah Carey is a Residence Director for Residential Living at Syracuse University. Before working at SU, Jonah worked as an RD at Ohio University. Jonah is an alum of Colorado State University and graduated with a bachelors in Civil Engineering. Jonah’s favorite part of his job is getting to help students navigate through different transitional periods in life.

Mary Ellen Albiker
Mary Ellen has worked at Syracuse University in various roles for 27 years. She is currently the Residence Hall Operations Coordinator for Lawrinson Hall. She has two kids and two grandkids. When she isn’t spending time with family she loves to travel and garden.

Megan Hughes
Megan Hughes has been a dedicated member of the Residential Living team for the past year, currently serving as the Residential Hall Operations Coordinator (RHOC) at Sadler Hall. Originally from Sheraton, Megan is a proud alum of Bryant & Stratton College, where she earned a degree in Administration. With two years of experience at Syracuse University, Megan brings passion and enthusiasm to her work, especially when it comes to supporting and engaging with students—her favorite part of the job. Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with family, especially her nephew. She’s passionate about music, sports, and has a fun love for dragons. A devoted fan of the Red Sox, Buffalo Bills, and Syracuse Orange, Megan often spends her free time watching games or relaxing on the porch when the weather is nice. Camping and listening to music are also some of her favorite pastimes.

Tisiya Rehema
Tisiya has been working at Syracuse University for 1 year and joined Residential Living in July 2025. She is the Residential Hall Operations Coordinator at Brewster/Boland/Brockway Hall. Tisiya is an alum of Agnes Scott College and graduated with a Master’s in Data Analysis and Communication. Tisiya is passionate about youth empowerment, and her favorite part of her job is helping students solve problems. Before working at Syracuse, she worked at Oakwood University as a Slate Captain. When Tisiya isn’t at work they like to cook, hike and read books.
