This February marks the 100th anniversary of Black History Month in the United States. To recognize the milestone, the Intercultural Collective and the Black History Month Planning Committee have planned a month-long lineup of events for the Syracuse University community celebrating the traditions shaped by African Americans and members of the Black diaspora.

This year’s theme, “A Century of Black History Commemoration,” honors the past 100 years while highlighting the continued importance of uplifting Black voices on campus and beyond. Through collaborations with departments and student organizations across the University, all are welcome to attend events throughout the month to learn, connect and get involved.
