Are you interested in being a leader within the campus community, but don\u2019t know where to start looking for opportunities? Don\u2019t stress! We compiled a list of amazing leadership opportunities and experiences with upcoming deadlines.<\/p>\n

University Conduct Board Member Application (April 1)<\/h2>\n

Joining the Syracuse University Conduct Board (UCB)<\/a> is a great way to contribute to a positive campus environment and serve your peers. UCB members are responsible for resolving cases involving the violation of the University\u2019s code of conduct, as well as creating outreach programs about safety and diversity. The deadline is coming up fast, so if you\u2019re interested in becoming a member, don\u2019t wait to apply!<\/p>\n

Boston Immersion Trip Application (April 2)<\/h2>\n

Further your career goals and experience life in Boston by applying to the Boston Immersion Trip<\/a>! Career Services is giving current sophomores and juniors the opportunity to get hands-on experience with a variety of different companies, from Converse to The Boston Celtics. The trip takes place May 9-11, but the application deadline is this weekend, so act fast if you’re interested! You can apply through Handshake<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Family Orientation and Transition Leader Application (April 3)<\/h2>\n

Becoming a family orientation and transition leader<\/a> is a fun way to pass on your Syracuse University knowledge to incoming students and their families. Leaders will help new families get acquainted with campus buildings and systems, move their students into housing and welcome them into the campus community. By becoming a leader, you can show new students why it\u2019s amazing to be Orange!<\/p>\n

The Big Event Registration (April 20)<\/h2>\n

The Big Event<\/a> is the University\u2019s biggest day of student service on campus. On April 22, leadership and empowerment organization OrangeSeeds<\/a> will send students to different nonprofits in the Syracuse area to help out. It\u2019s an amazing way to support the local Syracuse community beyond the University!<\/p>\n

Goon Squad Registration (July 20)<\/h2>\n

The Syracuse University Goon Squad<\/a> works closely with Orientation Leaders and staff to welcome new students to their residence halls. There are a ton of perks to joining, including swag, volunteer hours and early move-in. The organization has been around since 1944, so by joining you will be a part of one of the most historic campus groups!<\/p>\n

We hope at least one of these opportunities piques your interest, because joining a leadership group is a great way to connect with your peers and the campus community. There is still time to apply, so what are you waiting for?<\/p>\n
