Michael Duignan
Staff Bio
Michael joined the division in November 2021 as the new senior director of student engagement, overseeing the areas of Student Activities and Student Centers and Programming Services. Michael has worked in higher education for nearly two decades in roles spanning campus activities, student unions and student development, providing the unique combination of experience to lead, facilitate and enhance student programming efforts. Michael joins us from Shippensburg University where he held the role of executive director of campus life and university union. Prior to that, he spent more than five years at Bucknell University as the director of campus activities. Originally from Utica, NY, Michael earned a bachelor's degree from Utica College and a master's degree from Sage College of Albany, where he also served as coordinator of student development and campus programming and then director of student activities.

Alison LaClair
Staff Bio
Alison LaClair is the budget manager in Student Experience, supporting Student Activities, Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, recognized student organizations and the virtual Student Box Office. In this role, she manages all financial and administrative operations for these groups, reviews budget allocations, expenditures and fund balances, and maintains fiscal financial reporting. Alison previously served as a budget analyst for the recreation team in the Barnes Center at The Arch. In her time at Syracuse University, Alison has also held roles in the Whitman School of Management, Student Activities, Fraternity and Sorority Affairs and New Student and Family Programs.

Shyanne White
Staff Bio
Shyanne is originally from Randolph, Vermont and received their Bachelor’s in Statistics from St. Lawrence University. While studying at SLU, Shyanne was involved as a student tutor, McNair Scholar, and dedicated their Senior Year Project to evaluating retention strategies for low-income students. Shyanne is now pursuing a Masters in Higher Education at Syracuse. In their free time, Shyanne likes to play any Zelda game and make perler bead art. They have been working with student organizations for the past year, and oversee the NSO process.
