Graduate Assistant Staff Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Residential Living hosts four masters-level graduate assistants (GAs) who focus their work on specific areas of importance to the department. Each GA is supervised by one of our Assistant Directors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

Austin Myers<\/p>

Residential Curriculum Approach<\/div>

Austin is the Graduate Assistant for Curricular Approach. He is an alum of PennWest Clarion, where he graduated with a bachelor\u2019s degree in education. He will earn his master\u2019s degree in higher education from Syracuse in May 2026. Austin is passionate about education and committed to creating meaningful, engaging learning experiences that empower students and support their growth.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Martin Acheampong<\/p>

Residential Community<\/div>

Martin is an international student from Ghana who joined Syracuse University to pursue the Masters in Higher Education program. He recently started his first year with the office of Residential Living this fall and currently serves as the Graduate assistant for Residential Community. Martin is an alum of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, where he earned his bachelor\u2019s degree in education. Before joining Syracuse, Martin worked as a teaching assistant in his alma mater. His favorite part of the job is his face-to-face interactions with students from diverse backgrounds, and he is passionate about creating inclusive spaces for students to feel belonged. Outside of work, Martin enjoys getting connected to people and can occasionally be found playing video games.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Mollie Melnick<\/p>

Leadership Programs<\/div>

Mollie Melnick is the Graduate Assistant for Student Leadership Programs for Residential Living. She is originally from Rhode Island and graduated from the University of Rhode Island with degrees in Political Science and Spanish. At Syracuse University, she is pursuing her Master of Science in Higher Education. Mollie's favorite part about working for Residential Living is creating meaningful leadership experiences and opportunities for students. In her free time, Mollie likes to walk (especially outside on a nice day), read, and travel to new states and countries.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
