This should not be shared with other students.<\/li>\n<li><strong>NetID<\/strong>: This is often a first (and maybe middle) initial, all or part of your last name and possibly a number. It is derived automatically from your name based on available NetIDs. Note that no two NetIDs are the same.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Password<\/strong>: This is associated with all online portals and platforms requiring a student to access sensitive, personal information. This includes email, patient portal, wellness portal, MySlice and more.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Email<\/strong>: Your email is your NetID followed by @syr.edu. Upon matriculation to the University, all communication will be sent to this email, not personal emails.
