This webpage provides details on transportation, vendors, available samples and dietary specifications for the signature event during Welcome Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Date<\/strong>: Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Time<\/strong>: Noon-3 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Location<\/strong>: Clinton Square (downtown Syracuse, NY)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logistics<\/h2>\n\n\n<div role=\"region\" class=\"accordion\">\n      <div class=\"accordion-item border border-gray-light\">\n      <div class=\"accordion-header-text\">\n        <h3 class=\"margin-bottom-0\">\n          <button class=\"accordion-header full-width background-gray-light-30 border-0 margin-0 padding-top-2 padding-bottom-2 padding-left-3 padding-right-3\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            Transportation            <div class='accordion-toggle icon-right' class=''>\n              <i class='icon-chevron-right'><\/i>\n            <\/div>\n          <\/button>\n        <\/h3>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class='accordion-content'>\n        <p>Beginning at Noon, new first-year and transfer students may load buses\/trolleys at College Place bus stop, Stadium Place bus stop or Goldstein Student Center (on South Campus). The buses\/trolleys will continue to shuttle students to Clinton Square in downtown Syracuse, NY, throughout the duration of the event. Buses\/trolleys will bring students back to College Place bus stop beginning at 1:45 p.m. should they want to return to campus early.<\/p>\n<p>This event is only open to new Syracuse University first-year (freshman) and transfer students. Graduate students and returning students should not attend.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n      <div class=\"accordion-item border border-gray-light\">\n      <div class=\"accordion-header-text\">\n        <h3 class=\"margin-bottom-0\">\n          <button class=\"accordion-header full-width background-gray-light-30 border-0 margin-0 padding-top-2 padding-bottom-2 padding-left-3 padding-right-3\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            Samples and Wristbands            <div class='accordion-toggle icon-right' class=''>\n              <i class='icon-chevron-right'><\/i>\n            <\/div>\n          <\/button>\n        <\/h3>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class='accordion-content'>\n        <p>On the buses\/trolleys, students will receive a wristband with <strong>10 tabs<\/strong>. When arriving to Clinton Square, Welcome Week Leaders (WWLs) will be available to provide directional support at the event. WWLs will help manage the lines for each vendor.<\/p>\n<p>When students get to the front of a vendor line, they will trade one tab for one sample. All vendors will have two samples available.
