The following are recommended changes you should make to get the most out of your experience.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Account Information: Adding an Alternate Email Address<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/syr.joinhandshake.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Handshake<\/a>\u00a0using your Syracuse University email and password.<\/li>\n<li>Click on your account icon in the upper-right corner of the Handshake screen, then click on\u00a0\u201cSettings\u201d\u00a0from the menu.<\/li>\n<li>On the page that loads, scroll down to the bottom of the Account Information section to \u201cEmails\u201d and click on the link\u00a0\u201c+ Add another email\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>A text box will appear in that space \u2014 enter the non-Syracuse University email address you\u2019d like to add, then click\u00a0\u201cAdd\u201d\u00a0to the far right of the text box.<\/li>\n<li>The page will update to reflect the pending email address and confirmation needed. Before continuing, you should make sure your Handshake profile is updated and relevant documents are uploaded to your account (public or private). This will allow you to quickly attach associated documents to your internal Handshake application.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applying Externally<\/h3>\n<p>Some postings allow for applying outside Handshake. Once complete, it is highly recommended to return to the posting in Handshake and confirm you\u2019ve completed the application.
