The right to have a fair process with an objective conduct officer.<\/h3>\r\n <\/article>\r\n\r\n
\r\n

The right to review the case file.<\/h3>\r\n <\/article>\r\n\r\n
\r\n

The right to participate in the resolution process and the opportunity to respond to the allegations.<\/h3>\r\n

This includes asking questions and proposing outcomes.<\/p>\r\n <\/article>\r\n\r\n

\r\n

The right to appeal.<\/h3>\r\n <\/article>\r\n\r\n
\r\n

The right to know the Student Conduct Code charges and the basis of the allegations.<\/h3>\r\n <\/article>\r\n\r\n
\r\n

The right to a procedural advisor.<\/h3>\r\n

Must be a faculty, staff or student of Syracuse University.<\/p>\r\n <\/article>\r\n\r\n

\r\n

The right to a formal hearing.<\/h3>\r\n <\/article>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Under Part 9 of the Statement on Student Rights and Accountability<\/a> outlined in the Student Conduct System Handbook<\/a>, Syracuse University students have the right to fundamental fairness in any formal disciplinary processes of the University for violations of the Student Conduct Code; as provided in the published procedures of the University\u2019s Conduct System or other official University publications. Students have the right to written notice and the opportunity for a formal or informal hearing before any change in status is incurred for disciplinary reasons, unless a significant threat to persons or property exists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
