Meet Our Staff

Pronouns: He/Him/His

Josh first joined Community Standards in June of 2021 as the Associate Director, and was named the Director in February 2023.  In his role, Josh oversees the University's student conduct process and the bias education and response process. As the director, Josh is focused on providing a safe, welcoming, educational, and accountable community for all. 

Prior to Syracuse, Josh served as the Director of Student Conduct at High Point University in North Carolina, the Associate Director of Student Conduct and Title IX Investigator at St. John’s University in NYC, and as the Assistant to the Dean of Students for Student Conduct at SUNY Buffalo State College.  Josh has conducted policy research for the SUNY System and the state of New York, and worked as a Research Assistant on the Violence Against Women Act grant while at SUNY Buffalo State. Josh has worked extensively in the areas of student conduct, Title IX, bias response, and academic integrity doing both policy research and implementation on various campuses.

Josh received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Politics at SUNY Potsdam, and his Masters of Educational Administration with a concentration in Leadership and Policy at the University at Buffalo. Josh has been an ATIXA-trained Title IX Investigator since 2013.

When Josh is not cheering on the SU Orange, he is spending time with his dog, Moose, or exploring the different restaurants in Syracuse.

Caitie joined the team in June 2019 as the student conduct investigator. She was named associate director in July 2023. Caitie oversees the day-to-day administrative operation of the office and the student conduct process for students and student organizations. She also supervises, trains and supports staff and conduct boards.

Prior to coming to Syracuse, Caitie was an assistant director of residential life/student conduct officer at SUNY Cobleskill. Caitie received a master’s degree in educational administration and policy studies from the University of Albany and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and culinary arts from SUNY Cobleskill.

Kofi Addai joined Community Standards in July 2022. Prior to joining Community Standards, Kofi was the Associate Director at the North Side Learning Center. Kofi also worked for InterFaith Works where he coordinated and led the facilitation of numerous racial and equity dialogues for community organizations, businesses, and educational institutions. He obtained his bachelor’s in business administration and master’s in education from Le Moyne College. Kofi enjoys spending time with his family volunteering, hiking, camping, and gardening.

Alana joined the team in March 2024 as the Student Conduct Investigator. Prior to coming to Syracuse, Alana served as an Assistant Director for Student Conduct & Academic Integrity at the University of Central Florida. Alana is a double graduate from the University of Toledo, receiving a bachelor's degree in business marketing and management and a master's degree in higher education administration.

In her spare time, Alana enjoys playing video games, board games, the outdoors, drinking coffee, football season, and spending time with her family.

La’Kesa joined OCS in February 2019 after working in Student Leadership and Engagement and Student Conduct at Onondaga Community College. She earned her B.S. in Health Science from SUNY The College at Brockport and attended a semester-long Spanish Immersion program located in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. In 2008, La’Kesa received Syracuse University’s Martin Luther King Jr. Unsung Hero Award for helping her peers make positive choices. In her free time she enjoys cruises, shopping, trying new recipes, traveling and visiting new beaches. La’Kesa previously served as Conduct Coordinator in OCS.

Zack joined Community Standards as a Coordinator at the beginning of April 2023. Zack meets with students to educate them about the Code of Conduct and to resolve alleged violations of University policy. He also serves as an advisor to the University Conduct Board.

Zack received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bloomsburg University majoring in Mass Communication and Criminal Justice, and his Master of Education degree from Bloomsburg University in Educational Leadership focusing on College Student Affairs.

Before joining Syracuse University, Zack worked as Coordinator of Student Conduct and Development at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. While a Graduate Assistant at Bloomsburg University he has worked in the Student Conduct Office, the Title IX Office, the Alcohol and Other Drugs Prevention Office, and the Presidential Leadership Program. Zack became interested in working in Community Standards from being a board member of his undergraduate institution’s conduct hearing boards.

In his spare time, Zack enjoys spending time in nature, playing lacrosse, and with family and friends.

Jessica joined the Community Standards team as part of the STOP Bias & Hate Initiative in May 2021. In her role, Jessica works to design, develop and deploy innovative, educational programs, workshops, trainings and collaborative efforts regarding bias-related issues, intervention strategies and DEIA-related topics for the campus community. She also supervises a team of peer educators who facilitate skills-based trainings for students. Prior to working at Syracuse University, Jessica served in multiple residence life related roles at Stevenson University, Ithaca College, SUNY Buffalo State College and Cazenovia College where she also served as the Founder of the MOSAIC Center. Jessica received an M.S. in higher education and student affairs administration from SUNY Buffalo State College and has a B.S. in human services from Cazenovia College. In her free time, Jessica is an avid runner and enjoys spending time outdoors, experimenting with photography and art, trying new recipes, and spending time with her family and cats.

Kellie joined Community Standards in October 2021. Kellie earned a dual B.S. degree in elementary and special education with a minor in psychology from SUNY Geneseo. After graduating, she moved to North Carolina and lived there for eight years where she was a third grade teacher. Upon moving back to New York, she has raised her family full-time, as well as worked at a middle school in the CNY area. In her free time, Kellie loves spending time with her family, walking with her three dogs, reading and going to concerts. She is an avid Syracuse University sports fan and is so excited to be a part of Syracuse University.

Warren joined Community Standards in June 2023. As the Office Coordinator Warren interacts with students, parents, and staff to answer questions, set up appointments, and triage concerns that arise from allegations of conduct violations. Warren also manages scheduling appointments and provides administrative support to the Director of Community Standards.

Previously Warren spent 18 years in the Syracuse City School District working with children with a variety of physical, developmental and emotional needs. He spent 5 years training staff in de-escalation strategies and practices to assist students in crisis. Warren also teaches martial arts to individuals of all ages. He assists in the leadership program there, where students learn leadership skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal communication skills.

Warren has lived in Syracuse all his life, earning his Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University.

In his spare time, Warren loves cheering on the Orange, enjoying sporting events and training in the martial arts. He is an avid runner and enjoys spending time with his family.
