Therapeutic Style:<\/strong> My therapeutic style is an integration of Adlerian Theory, interpersonal process and emotion-focused therapy. My clinical approach focuses on assisting students in exploring their feelings, beliefs, values and strengths to encourage and empower their personal growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professional Interests:<\/strong> My areas of professional interest include multicultural counseling, which encompasses culture, gender, sexual orientation and other aspects of diversity, the psychology of international, immigrant and Asian\/Asian American student populations, multilingual counseling (English and Mandarin) and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) issues, as well as multiple clinical presentations such as trauma, interpersonal relationships and chronic mood concerns. I enjoy providing training and supervision to support our clinicians’ professional and personal growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group and Liaison Roles:<\/strong> I currently serve as director of training in Counseling. I oversee the pre-doctoral internship training program and graduate student training program. I am also a member of the Gender Affirming Care team at the Barnes Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Educational Background:<\/strong> I received a bachelor\u2019s degree in psychology from Fudan University and a master\u2019s degree in counseling psychology from East China Normal University, both in Shanghai, China. I received a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Adler University in Summer 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
