Through the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), eligible students have access to quality health insurance coverage that covers them for emergency and non-emergency services in the Syracuse area. If your student is uninsured or underinsured, they can enroll in the SHIP through <a href=\"https:\/\/myslice.syr.edu\">MySlice<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your student is currently covered by your health insurance plan and the plan is considered <a href=\"http:\/\/healthinsurance.syr.edu\/ufaqs\/how-do-i-know-if-my-alternate-health-insurance-will-be-accepted-as-qualifying-coverage\/\">qualifying coverage<\/a>, your student can waive the SHIP if desired. The waiver process is also managed through <a href=\"http:\/\/myslice.syr.edu\">MySlice<\/a>.&nbsp; Students should be prepared with their health insurance information when accessing the waiver form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students can share their MySlice access with parents and guardians to grant them permission to provide proof of qualifying health insurance or to enroll in the SHIP.&nbsp; For more information, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/su-jsm.atlassian.net\/wiki\/spaces\/ITHELP\/pages\/159940826\/Sharing+MySlice+Access+with+Parents+Guardians+or+Family+Members\">ITS Sharing MySlice page<\/a>.
