I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment, aiming to have students lead sessions guided by collaboratively set treatment goals. Additionally, my aim is to guide students to have greater psychological flexibility and make value-driven decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Professional Interests: <\/strong>My research interests broadly focus on human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) prevention\/treatment, alcohol\/substance use, and sexual and gender minority health disparities. I am specifically interested in how alcohol use can complicate HIV-related health outcomes, particularly among older adults with HIV. My clinical interests focus on working with students experiencing anxiety, neurodivergence, trauma and sleep difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Group and Liaison Roles:<\/strong> I have previous experience facilitating an attention-deficit\/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) skills group that focuses on introducing organizational strategies (e.g., planner, prioritization, skills to address procrastination, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Educational Background:<\/strong> I earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of Florida and a master&#8217;s degree from Syracuse University, where I am currently a predoctoral trainee in the clinical psychology Ph.D. program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pronouns:<\/strong> He\/Him\/His<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Therapeutic Style: I utilize an integrated approach, incorporating techniques from cognitive-behavioral techniques, psychodynamic and motivational interviewing.
