Additionally, I am passionate about integrating Eastern philosophies—such as mindfulness, compassion and common humanity—into my work. Outside of my role at Syracuse University, I enjoy equine therapy and hold a certification in therapeutic horseback riding through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.).

Educational Background: I identify as a first-generation college student and began my education at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, receiving an undergraduate degree in psychology. Later in life, I decided to further my education, completing both master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Alliant International University in San Diego, California. My dissertation research was focused on chronic pain and the experience of self-compassion among women, and I have published work in these areas. My training has provided me with rich experiences in many different settings such as community mental health, private practice, hospital settings, outpatient and university counseling centers.

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Therapeutic Style: My therapeutic approach is rooted in relational and dynamic frameworks, emphasizing the importance of the therapeutic relationship and the ongoing process of change.
