I strive to meet students where they are and foster a collaborative dynamic built on trust, safety and authenticity. Getting to know each student is important to me, and I make space to explore their culture and background, as these are essential parts of our work together. My counseling approach is grounded in relational-cultural theory and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), while also integrating person-centered acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) techniques. By tailoring my approach to each student\u2019s unique needs, I aim to create a nonjudgmental environment where they can explore their concerns, develop insight and work toward their goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Professional Interests:<\/strong> I have experience working with adolescents, adults and families in diverse settings, including community mental health and college counseling centers. My professional interests include anxiety, depression, stress management, trauma, relationships, and identity exploration and development. I am passionate about supporting individuals in their self-exploration, empowering them to cultivate a strong sense of voice, identity, agency and resilience as they navigate the world.
