I incorporate techniques from Motivational Interviewing (MI), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and cognitive processing therapy. In my role as a behavioral health provider, I utilize brief, evidence-based interventions to address concerns related to mood, sleep, emotion regulation, substance use and interpersonal relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Professional Interests:<\/strong> My clinical interests include behavioral health integration, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, and anxiety disorders. My research focuses on maternal health and the prevention of both chronic and infectious diseases in early childhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Educational Background: <\/strong>I earned a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Before beginning graduate school, I worked as a study coordinator at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and the Veterans Medical Research Foundation.
